Today I'm bringing you a new review for the store Moon Kitty Productions~! MKP sells quite a lot of cute goods perfect for fairy kei and other sweet fashions! Not only do they have sweet accessories, the shop also sells a variety of goods including original art from the owner (tights, hats, ect). I've admired some of the tights from afar, and just recently the store has produced a line of snapbacks as well! And if you know anything about me... well, you know I am quite obsessed with my hats. I was really pleased that the owner of Moonkitty contacted me about having a blog+store partnership, so today I have the pleasure of reviewing one of their brand new snapbacks! I'm so excited to show you this product~~! (≧ω≦)

I always love to be surprised when a shop sends me something, so I wasn't sure which hat I would be receiving. Moonkitty Productions has a variety of pastel hats which have themes like mermaids and the ever so popular magical girls~! So of course, I was excited when my package arrived in the mail!
My hat was wrapped neatly in a standard envelope and was in no way damaged upon shipping. I also received a personal note from the owner, which made me very happy~!
So which hat did I receive?
I got their cute Merbabe hat! ヽ(๏∀๏ )ﾉ
The merbabe hat is a really cute hat that has a pink-purple-yellow gradient with a scale design covering the whole hat and the word "merbabe" printed on the front.
The hat was shipped with a plastic liner on the inside so it would get squashed by my post person :)
When it comes to the design of this hat I am incredibly pleased! The color is really rich but still soft enough for my pastel looks. And the scale design is really cute! I like how there are a couple of sparkles added to the graphics. I think my only concern when it comes to the art is that there are some lines that overlapped oddly? But it's not necessarily a major complaint, just an observation! (^^;;)
I really love how the color starts out pink at the brim and then slowly fades from purple to a light yellow at the top! I don't know the technical term for this, but I also really like how the "button" (??) at the top is a shade of purple to contrast with the yellow. All of the seams on the hat are pink too, which also adds a nice contrast.
Now for the lettering~! The word "merbabe" stands out with its white embroidered look and really is what makes this hat super cool! I absolutely adore the font and how all of the spaces for the letters are shaped like hearts! "Merbabe" is also centered and located quite nicely on the hat so it's not too low, or too high up.
Lastly, it's a snapback! This is a plus not only for obvious reasons (like being able to fit different head sizes) but I can also adjust the hat to fit over wigs! I find a lot of my hats are uncomfortable to wear over wigs but I had no problem with this one.
Needless to say I am so in love with this hat! (｡♥‿♥｡)
I have quite a few photos to show you how it looks on, (basically a fancy way to say I took tonnnns of selfies!) but first for the overall shop review ^o^
Shipping: 9/10
I had absolutely no problems with the shipment of this hat! It arrived safely with the plastic bit on the inside to make sure it didn't get squashed. The only reason I'm giving shipping a 9/10 instead of a ten is because when initially opening the package I was a little concerned that it was packaged enough. Even though it arrived okay I think maybe a little bubble wrap in the future would be a nice touch just to ensure that won't get damaged on it's trip c;
Quality: 10/10
I was very surprised how durable the hat is and how well the design is printed on! In no way is the hat flimsy at all, and it's actually pretty solid all the way around. The seams are sewn very neatly in a cute pink thread and even the fabric of the hat feels very thick. The word "merbabe" is also embroidered on the hat very neatly as well with no sort of stray threads and I believe it will hold up for a very long time!
Design: 9/10
For the most part I'm extremely pleased with the design of the hat! As I stated early the color is very vibrant, the font of the letters is extremely cute, and overall the print is very cute as well. But my only concern with the pattern was some of the scales weren't drawn as neatly as they could have been and honestly! That might just be a style thing, I'm not sure. Design still gets a very high score though because I said in my rundown above- it's something that really doesn't bother me! It does feel rather whimsical. But I feel like it should be pointed out so you know before purchasing~!
Overall Customer Satisfaction: 9.5/10
I am honestly so pleased with how this hat turned out! I had been watching Moonkitty Productions a lot in the past and was initially very excited when they announced the release of a new line of snapbacks! I was so happy to receive one, and overall it is a really cute piece to have in my collection. (You will probably be seeing me wear it quite a lot~) The hat is super unique and it's not often you can find such a cute snapback! I definitely recommend these hats to everyone interested in fashions like fairy kei, pop kei, and mahou kei! (and swaggy kei!) I'm also very fond of it because it's an accessory suited for gender neutral fashion! I'm really an advocate for all genders exploring fairy kei and this hat would make a great accessory if you're not interested in things like bows~!
